CMT Insider: Thoughts from Katie
Dolly Parton has always been one of my favorite artists and anytime I can talk to her, I jump at the chance! We recently went to Dollywood for her Barbeque and Bluegrass festival. She was decked out as usual and was just hilarious. I took my brother, Jason, along for the ride and he got to meet her and have his picture taken with her. What fun that was!

He is 6'5" and Dolly is probably not much over 5' tall. It made for a cute picture. He also got to ride all the roller coasters. He said that the Mystery Mine was the best by far. In case you're wondering, I didn't ride any. I am way too scared to go on a roller coaster! Dollywood is so fun. If you've never been, you should make time to visit.
I mentioned that we have some great CMT Insider Special Editions coming soon. In addition to Faith Hill September 29, we have a show with Sara Evans October 6. Sara has a Greatest Hits album coming out. We had a great talk about all the past hits and the new songs on the album. Following a stressful year, she seems as focused as ever on her music. She looks great and was in great spirits. As I said, that special is coming up in October, so check it out.

Caught just the start of a duet that Faith Hill performed with a guy that she was very excited to sing with but I did not catch the name of the guy and I don’t remember the song title. Fantastic performance, probably one of the best duets I have ever heard. It was performed live, on stage. I don’t even know waht show I was watching but I am pretty sure it was on CMT. Any Idea?
Thanks,

touch with you. My grandaughter who turned six yesterday is a huge fan of Carrie Underwood. She loves the song before he cheats. One night in my vehilce she heard Sara Evans song ” Cheating”. She asked me who was singing and I told her and she responded, wow, she sure handles that cheatin thing different than Carrie Underwood! It was so cute I had to share it, this happened several months ago and I still get a kick out of it. If nothing else when you see Carrie and Sara please pass it on. Thanks so much. Take care

I have completely turned off your channel - I am SO SICK of seeing the Cowboy Cheerleader line up night after night after night and now a stupid show about wanting to be a high school cheerleader. I can’t believe a show like yours wouldn’t have great CMT (isn’t that the name of your channel?) information and/or related shows to CMT. The Cowboy Cheerleaders are a (very) tired ticket - we want music and information regarding CMT - I’m done with your show.

Katie… Is your handsome brother available ? I too love Dolly and she has always been my hero ! My first exposure to Dolly was when I was young and watched her every morning on the Cas Walker show in Knoxville, T., I had an uncle that played music on the show and was very lucky that we all got to see her way back then, and later when she opened Dollywood and had everyone back there that ever played a part in her becoming famous ! Was great ! She is a wonderful human being and God has blessed us all by giving us Dolly !
